ATIBA FARM is a for-profit social enterprise initiative of Black Vegans of Toronto Ltd. (Previously named BVOT Brandon Street Farm). Our mission is to organically grow fresh fruits, herbs, and vegetables for various Toronto and GTA communities.
Atiba Farm uses only the most fertile organic soil. We employ natural and sustainable farming methods, free from pesticides or fertilizers. Organic foods and organic farming methods leave a smaller carbon footprint while simultaneously improving the health of customers and local communities.

Black Vegans of Toronto is a support group for Black Canadians who are vegetarian, vegan, or raw foodies and are interested in transitioning to a plant-based vegan lifestyle. We support each other and, lovingly and respectfully, encourage our families, friends, and all Black Canadians to adopt this very healthful, disease-preventing lifestyle.
The motivation to start this group came from the (not very public) alarming fact that black people in Canada are critically unhealthy.
Black Canadians are very high on the list of those suffering from food-borne diseases like Arthritis, Alzheimer's, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Obesity, Parkinson's, and Lupus.
Evidence-based research shows that as much as 80 percent of these illnesses are prevented, and in some cases, cured by a change to a plant-based vegan lifestyle.
